Introduction of calculators in P5 & P6

I think this is something that is not new. It has already been announced before but the press release today gives greater details on the mechanics and format of the paper. Basically it is something like the 'O' level E Maths format where paper 1 restricts the use of calculators but for paper 2 it is permitted. However, there are some drawbacks. Over-reliance on calculators will have an effect on the portion of the paper where no calculators is allowed. Basically, paper 1 is a test of one's mental and speed skills which can be polished with constant practise and exposure.
