More cases of drink driving

When I read the papers today, I was disappointed to read about another 3 drink driving cases. There was even a fatality and the culprit actually committed a hit-and-run offence. However, guilt must be made the driver turn himself into the cops.

Somtimes I really wonder if the local laws that apply to drink driving are stringent enough. Perhaps parliament should re-look at the offences and corresponding penalties. All said and done, do harsh penalities really work?
