Went running at MacRitchie Reservior
I went running this morning at the MacRitchie Reservior. I finally managed to try out the 11km trail which is rather hilly, rocky and needless to say, quite dirty! After running on flat roads for a while, it sure felt good to attempt something different. However, the terrain does make it a lot more challenging. Not only does it take a longer time to clear the same distance compared to flat road running, extra care has to be taken as the terrain can easily cause ankles to sprain which I nearly did. The whole route took us about 90 mins but that included a short rest at the ranger station somewhere around the half-way mark. The scenery was beautiful as we ran along the golf course. I certainly hope to run this route again sometime later. Meanwhile, it's time to go back to my books.
